LETTER TO CHARLIE "TREMENDOUS" JONES FROM HIS CHILDREN:

Dear Dad,

We couldn't be a prouder group of six. Too bad you really didn't like kids, you could have had more than six of us to be proud of you... What a tremendous achievement to receive the Cavett Award and all of the honor it signifies. Your remarkable sense of sharing and insight, combined with your generous spirit and unwavering belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, make you the obvious choice in our minds. It's touching to us to see that others feel the same way we do.

From what you were, to what you continue to be, is an amazement and blessing to us. And although we may not all be with you in person on this evening, we definitely are with you in spirit and look forward to celebrating this collectively as a family the next time we all come together. It makes us so proud when your name comes up in the course of a meeting or a conversation that folks just beam about the positive impact you've had in their lives. We couldn't be prouder of you and we love you and Mom so very much. Thank you for everything and enjoy your tremendous evening.
